Die Entfuhrung Aus Dem Serail, K.384 is a singspiel in three acts Mozart wrote in 1781. The original librettist was C.F.Bretzner, but the original play by Bretzner: "Belmont und Constanze, oder entführung aus dem Serail" was significantly altered by Mozart's librettist, Gottlieb Stephanie, with the complicity of Mozart himself, who believed that "in an Opera the poetry must be altogether the obedient daughter of the Music".
